Airtable for Lending Library

Main Goals: Have one source of truth, easy oversight and save time on manual work. There are many library softwares but not many that manage donations as well so we chose another route.

 

How we achieved those goals:

  1. Configure one software to track books, patrons and donations
  2. Easy creation of new records via forms and automations
  3. Easy book check in and out
  4. Visibility for due and overdue books

 

Airtable is a flexible platform that allows for these objectives as well as future custom automations. It has a similar experience to a spreadsheet but has the power of a proper database.

We can add new books by inputting the ISBN#. Automation pulls in the name and author of the book.
